WHITE BOX TESTING TECHNIQUES –A LITERATURE REVIEW
Black-box testing is a method of software testing that examines the functionality of an application without peering into its internal structures or workings. This method of test can be applied virtually to every level of software testing: unit , integration , system and acceptance. It is sometimes referred to as specification-based testing. Specific knowledge of the application's code, internal structure and programming knowledge in general is not required. For instance, the tester is aware that a particular input returns a certain, invariable output but is not aware of how the software produces the output in the first place.
Black Box Testing is a software testing method in which testers evaluate the functionality of the software under test without looking at the internal code structure. This can be applied to every level of software testing such as Unit, Integration, System, and Acceptance Testing. The tester performs testing only on the functional part of an application to make sure the behavior of the software is as expected. The tester passes input data to make sure whether the actual output matches the expected output. Equivalence Partitioning is also known as Equivalence Class Partitioning. In equivalence partitioning, inputs to the software or system are divided into groups that are expected to exhibit similar behavior, so they are likely to be proposed in the same way. Hence selecting one input from each group to design the test cases.

Srinivas Nidhra 3 Estimated H-index: 3. View Paper. Add to Collection. There are several methods for automatic test case generation has been proposed in the past. But most of these techniques are structural testing techniques that require the understanding of the internal working of the program. There is less practical coverage of all testing techniques together. In this paper we conducted a literature study on all testing techniques together that are related to both Black and White box testing techniques, moreover we assume a case situation of Insurance premium calculation for driver and we derive the test cases and test data for white box testing methods such as Branch testing, Statement testing, Condition Coverage testing, multiple condition coverage testing, in the similar way we derive the test cases and test data for the black box testing methods such as: Equivalence partitioning and Boundary value analysis.
There are several ways to conduct penetration tests. Black box testing is a way to test a system with no access to information about the system being tested. The tester has no knowledge of the system, the source code, or the system architecture. Since this is the approach most attackers will take, black box testing replicates the method a hacker would use to try to get into the system. White box testing is also known as clear box testing, glass box testing, structural testing, and transparent box testing. This method of testing software checks the internal structure of an application. The tester has knowledge and access to the source code and the system architecture.

BLACK BOX AND WHITE BOX TESTING TECHNIQUES –A LITERATURE REVIEW
Black-box testing is a method of software testing that examines the functionality of an application based on the specifications. What is black box testing and White box testing? Independent Testing Team usually performs this type of testing during the software testing life cycle. Tanpa adanya software testing, kita tidak dapat mengetahui apakah sebuah software sudah memenuhi semua kriteria yang dibutuhkan untuk user.
White-Box Testing and Black-Box Testing
White Box Testing is software testing technique in which internal structure, design and coding of software are tested to verify flow of input-output and to improve design, usability and security. In white box testing, code is visible to testers so it is also called Clear box testing, Open box testing, Transparent box testing, Code-based testing and Glass box testing. It is one of two parts of the Box Testing approach to software testing. Its counterpart, Blackbox testing, involves testing from an external or end-user type perspective.
